Welcome to Gan Sameach, a unique and special home-away-from-home for your children. We are a Washington state licensed child care located in Shoreline.

We at Gan Sameach believe that children experience the greatest growth when they feel secure and wanted. Therefore, we work to provide a warm, caring, comfortable and safe environment for our children.

A child can be likened to a tree that is grown from a seed. When a seed is planted, it needs to be nurtured constantly until it is established as a sapling. In the same way, babies need constant nurturing in order to grow into children. Once a tree is established, however, it still needs to be watered day after day. If you do not water the tree every single day, again and again, it probably will not survive. Similarly, young children are able to understand a great deal and are becoming established as individuals, but they still need to be "watered" every day.

Our program and services offer developmentally appropriate curriculum and we strive to enhance social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth in young children. Our program fosters curiosity, creativity and self-esteem by taking into account children’s abilities and interests. Child initiated, and teacher supported play is an essential component of our program.

The traditional Jewish values are modeled and reinforced in out warm and loving atmosphere. Hebrew language is introduced through songs, games and riddles as well as books and casual conversations. Each day at Gan Sameach is filled with hand-on experiences in sensory exploration, building and sculpting, singing and dancing, reading and much more. We approach all learning with great enthusiasm and always keep a good positive attitude, which helps propel our learning to even greater heights.

Gan Sameach is a bilingual childcare, speaking both Russian and English. Studies have shown that knowing a second language from a young age benefits the congnitive, emotional and even physical growth of a developing child. We are proud to offer asset at our program.

We approach learning with a Montessori childhood development philosophy. Our learning occurs primarily through projects, learning centers and playful activities that reflect current interests of children. In order to reach the highest potential of each and every child in our care, we work both on group and individual level with all the children.

We are committed to children learning and believe that educators are important role models. Therefore, we use modeling as a vital tool in our classrooms. To maintain an atmosphere where children feel comfortable and confident, we use constructive guidance and positive reinforcement. We feel it is also necessary to establish and clearly define reasonable limits with logical consequences. The children are encouraged to take ownership in shaping our classroom dynamics through openly sharing their work, ideas and personalities which will enrich their peers and foster their intellectual development.

Regular communication is important for a strong home-school connection and is beneficial for your child. We welcome your calls and comments, or any questions that you may have.
